Tímea Fülöp received the Frankovič Baltazár Prize

The recent cooperation agreement between Sapientia University and the University of Óbuda has resulted in prestigious professional recognition. It is a common success of the two institutions that in 2020 Tímea Fülöpreceived the Frankovič Boldizsár Prize founded by the Óbuda University and the Hungarian Fuzzy Society. Tímea Fülöp continues his master's studies at the Faculty of Technical and Human Sciences, Târgu Mureş. The title of the award-winning article is: Brain Tumor Segmentation from MRI Data Using Ensemble Learning and Multi-Atlas.

The award-winning scientific work was led by Levente Kovács, professor at the University of Óbuda, and László Szilágyi, professor at Sapientia University. Co-authors: Ágnes Győrfi (lecturer at the Faculty of Technical and Human Sciences, Târgu Mureş, PhD student at Óbuda University), Béla Surányi (PhD student at Óbuda University). The award was given at the 18th World Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI 2020) conference in Ránkfürdő, near Kosice.
